Celebrate Halloween in Los Angeles
If you live in or near Santa Monica and are looking forward to a good scare this Halloween, then you are in great company. Luckily for you, there are plenty of events near the home of the best Santa Monica breakfast for you to look forward to!
Spend the Night: Halloween w/ Robin Tran | The Crow | Saturday, October 8, 10 – 11:30 PM
Stacy Cay, a comedian, and Megan Graves extend an invitation to spend the night. starring Robin Tran and featuring a range of regional performers. Guests are invited to come dressed in their prettiest costumes because this comedy show has a Halloween theme, and you can bet we will! $15 for stream tickets; $20 for in-person tickets. It may be more pricey than a cup of Santa Monica coffee, but we promise it’ll be worth it!
A Frightfully “Fintastic” Fishy Fest | Heal the Bay Aquarium | Sunday, October 22, 12:30 PM – 5:00 PM
On October 25 and 26, the Santa Monica Pier Aquarium at Heal the Bay will host a “fantastic” Halloween and Dia de los Muertos (Day of the Dead) celebration. From 12:30 to 5:00 p.m. on both days, the Aquarium, located at beach level at the Santa Monica Pier, will have frightening family-friendly events in Los Angeles. Come as a goblin or choose from a range of gently used costumes that will be available at the Aquarium as part of the city’s second annual Halloween costume swap, which is sponsored by the Fairview Branch Library and Santa Monica’s Resource, Recovery & Recycling division.
Trick or Drink: Halloween Bar Crawl | Circle Bar | Every night October 28 – October 31 till 2 AM
Prepare for a night of bar hopping at more than six participating establishments. The After Party at The Room in Santa Monica begins at 10:00 p.m., where the fun may continue. Every ticket comes with access to the Costume Contest, two or more cocktails or shots, a U.S. Stadium cup for the first 400 people who check-in, exclusive drink and food offers, and much more. Will you perhaps win a gift certificate for the best coffee in Santa Monica?
Dia de los Muertos (Day Event) | Hollywood Forever Cemetery | Saturday, October 29, 9 AM – 3 PM
Come on over and enjoy various events for this cultural celebration, including cultural performances, alters, art exhibitions, a children’s plaza, and fantastic food!
Monster Dash | 2000 Ocean Avenue | Sunday, October 30, 7:30 – 10 AM
On Sunday, October 30th, beginning at 7:30 a.m., register to walk or run in the 5K, 10K, 15K, and half marathon races. Participants will gather along the beach route near Crescent Bay Park, off Bay Street & Ocean Avenue, and run a course composed of counterclockwise circuits around a designated beach path. Following the event, each participant will receive a time and location and images for download. Maybe grab some Santa Monica coffee before your big run?
